I care for comfort AND most of all how good something looks. But unfortunately have found myself always going back to just sticking to what looks good even though they aren’t always good for foot health (*cough* Birkenstocks). Especially when my feet already don’t do well with almost any shoe in the summertime because my already wide feet get swollen and feel gross. (I live in the Central Valley here in California where the sun is brutal and summer days go over 100 degrees. I also have ADHD. So my body temperature gets worse in the summer). And don’t get me wrong I will continue to use the unhealthy shoe. But after trying these out, and not needing to go through a breaking in phase or getting blisters after wearing them all day, these definitely have the upper hand. I wore them all day straight out of the box. Absolutely no pain. No blisters. No breaking in process. The leather was so soft and everything about the shoe is just so flexible and comfortable. I already know they will be the most worn pair of shoes in my closet in the summertime. Thank you!
Genuine zero drop sneakers that are super comfortable, lots of toe space, and look good too. I will buy more.
Best shoes I've ever owned! They're very comfortable, durable, breathable and so lightweight! They're also easily made waterproof by simply placing two coats of SnoSeal on them using a blow dryer, or oven at 150° F, to melt the SnoSeal into the shoe. I have two pairs and my wife purchased one as well, we love these shoes and will be lifelong customers. The only complaint I have is that the stitching on the sole doesn't continue, uninterrupted, onto the toe. By simply continuing the stitching all the way around the soul it would add YEARS to the life of the shoe. I hope the manufacturers are able to make these adjustments to their already awesomely well made shoe. BUY 2 PAIR CAUSE THEY'RE AMAZING!
these shoes are so sick. think "San" from princess mononoke. that's how they make me feel. so comfy. so slick. so sick. also wide toebox for my troll feet. buy these shoes now. also they come with a sling bag that i can use for anything and an extra pair of laces.
I wanted a pair of "barefoot" shoes as I was experiencing autoimmune pain im my big toes. I think the look of wide toed shoes/ natural shape is not my fave, but its what I needed. These are extremely comfortable for my tender feet, and I love my toes getting to splay naturally, so fashion will have to wait.
Fit great right out of the box. Super comfortable. I have wide feet and a high instep and it is very hard to find shoes that feel good. And they look great too! Heading to Europe this summer and plan on these being the only pair of shoes I take.
Love from the first sight. True to size. Highly recommended!
so light weight , leather is so soft , adjustable for all feet sizes , and comfortable!! i’m hoping they hold up , first experience with the light leather and cork bottom .. if they do they will be my new favs !!
I love that these shoes are canvas, so I can wear them in summer! These are my first barefoot shoes, and I am excited to see everything they can do for me.
Awesome and comfortable shoes.. cool too. Feel great but the transition soles have deteriorated a little bit and it’s only been a couple weeks, I do walk a lot, but still. Overall great shoe and would recommend and would get more but I am hoping these inserts are just a fluke.
I have Vivobarefoot, Feelgrounds, Nefes, and Xero. For all intensive purposes they are among my favorites. They are not the lowest stack (e.g. Vivo) but they are still barefoot. I have a narrow, low-density, low splay foot and these do great. If you have a large splay I am not sure these will work for you. These are very stylish and love wearing them only second to my Vivo Gobis. The Gobis are just a little more dressy, which works well with slacks vs the Rutsu here is more aligned with jeans.
I’ll be buying more shoes from this company!
I am in love with these extra high tops. Love them. I need to order a pair of the black regular high tops and I’m also interested in the new sneaker. I want the black high tops and the green and the maroon. Seriously amazing and comfy.
I love these shoes. Although too wide for my narrow foot. I just have a lot of extra room. 😉Would be nice if a narrow option was available for people with narrow feet. Love the ones I have and would recommend to others.
I absolutely love these. They are incredibly comfortable and the quality of the cavas is excellent!
These are the best sneakers! They fit perfect, like my feet were already used to them. And the cork insoles are so comfy — best kept secret!
I just received my order and I’m very pleased! The sole feels a little bit stiffer and somehow springier than other barefoot shoes I’ve had in the past but the sole is still nice and flexible. The canvas seems durable and the color on the website was representative of the color in person. While I could personally use a wider toe box, my toes don’t feel crushed. Overall, a quality shoe that I can’t wait to wear.
I am in love with my barefoot sneakers from Rutsu. I recently switched to barefoot shoes after dealing with plantar fasciitis for almost a year and it has helped me DRASTICALLY! I used to be so sore after standing for 10 minutes but now I can stand comfortably for hours without pain and a big part of it is thanks to barefoot shoes. They are also SO cute, I got the camel color and I love it.
I had to exchange a few times to find the right size and the customer service team were extremely helpful. Quick response time, easy exchanges, and they helped me figure out the right size. I highly suggest buying their shoes, I know I can't wait to buy more! Thank you Rutsu team!
The most comfy barefoot shoes I have tried! And I love how they look too!
I love these shoes they look very nice and have amazing space on the inside its actually really surprising. Whenever I look at them I have a hard time believing they are barefoot because they barely look like they are but they definitely have a ton of space. Before these shoes I would wear Bearfoot brand shoes and I am used to their soles. Their soles are extremely thin and allow you to literally feel everything even tiny pebbles on the ground. The soles on Rutsu shoes are definitely way thicker and as a result do leave something to be desired for feeling your way around your environment through your shoes with proprioception. However this is also a benefit, one of the annoying things about extremely thin soles is how hard it is to do things like hiking or long distanced running in them because it just wears on your feet as if you really were barefoot on multi hour plus activities. However having the thickness of the soles in Rutsu combined with the toe splay of barefoot comfort these are definitely my new hiking and long distanced running shoes while other thinner soles would be my martial arts, short distance walking, or working out shoes. So honestly my one complaint is the sole thickness but its not entirely a complaint since it definitely has distinct advantages for everyday use over thinner soles. It would be nice to see Rutsu do an extremely thin sole shoe like how Bearfoot brand does because they could definitely make it look and feel amazing.
I like the softness, and the cork insole.
The color is new for me, and I've never seen a corduroy shoe before.
My only nitpick is the sole seems to be a bit slippery on water. Only tried the one time though.
9/10.
The back of the shoe is a bit too high and bumps up against my ankle. I otherwise really like them, so I'm just going to alter them a bit to make my ankle happy.
Love the shoe so far, purchased 3 pair that were available in my size. Price was good and fit is great. Love canvas, can water proof with beeswax/mineral oil, great for construction work, running around the ranch, and look good with all my clothes! Nioce!
